In the 1980s, Ingrid produced a series of photographs of Black people in rural landscapes, entitled Pastoral Interludes. The work challenges the generalised association between Black communities and city environments in English culture.

Her recent solo exhibition No Cover Up, which followed a residency in 2019, revealed Ingrid’s responses to the materials held in the Lesbian Archive at Glasgow Women’s Library. This exhibition gives voice to the archive, offering new insights on its content and reminding us that LGBTQ+ culture is thriving and at the forefront of activism.
