Open for the last few weeks, Karen Knorr FRPS presents new work from India and Japan for the first time in the UK, in the museum dedicated to photography and its invention by Fox Talbot.
We’ve been overwhelmed by the response to our campaign Hundred Heroines: Celebrating Women in Photography Today and big thanks to everyone who has nominated a heroine, helped spread the word or joined our ambassadorial team; and extra special thanks to all those helping out behind the scenes.
FROM THE ARCHIVE Helen Pankhurst’s heroine is Aïda Muluneh – who’s yours? As the first week of Hundred Heroines comes to a close, we can reveal Helen Pankhurst’s nomination and, not surprisingly, she’s chosen a wonderful Ethiopian photographer – Aïda Muluneh.
We’re delighted that Emma Lewell-Buck MP is endorsing our Hundred Heroines campaign. Emma is the Member of Parliament for South Shields and the constituency’s first female MP.
We’re thrilled that Helen Pankhurst is supporting our campaign. Following in the footsteps of her grandmother (Sylvia) and great-grandmother (Emmeline), Helen is a passionate advocate for women’s rights.
