Eva Stenram (b.1976) is a Swedish-born photographer, currently residing in Berlin. A self-described “photographic archaeologist”, Eva’s photography opens a dialogue between the past and present, building layers of meaning and purpose through the use of old photography – most frequently, vintage erotica. Her work explores themes of gender, the body, eroticism, fantasy, and the relationship between viewer and image.
Throughout her career, Eva has been highly commended for her work, receiving The Cord Prize for Photography (2013) and The Royal College of Art Alumni Award (2007), as well as being selected as a finalist for the Aperture Portfolio Prize (2013) and the Hyeres International Photography Competition (2013).
