FORMAT festival is back for another year featuring virtual galleries and talks from Heroines.
Perfect for those missing physical museums and galleries, FORMAT has created a literal festival on the web. Think patches of grass, DJ spots and 19 different e-locations to wander in and out of.
Within the immersive 3D experience, we are invited to explore both emerging and established photographers. Young FORMAT, in Room 3, is the result of of an open call for 25 year olds and younger.
In Room 18 you can see the wall of images from It’s All in My Head created by Heroine Etinosa Yvonne. By clicking the images some come to life, with layers of movement.
In Room 4, Heroine Heather Agyepong‘s Wish You Were Here can be discovered.
Room 12 hosts Heroine Jenny Matthews with Seven Patchwork Hangings Concerning Woman and War. Also in Room 12 Heroine Clare Strand is exhibiting along with her partner Gordon Macdonald with their project No More Flags.
Yan Wang Preston‘s ongoing COVID project With love. From an Invader. is also being displayed.
FORMAT21 is open from March 12, 2021 to April 11, 2021 and is free to explore.
