Museum and Gallery Assistant
Hundred Heroines is offering a six-month paid internship as a Gallery Assistant.
During the placement, you’ll be involved with all aspects of running a museum and gallery, including: liaising with visitors, maintaining the collection and library, helping out with workshops, exhibition planning and hanging, administrative tasks and social media.
In particular, we are looking for someone who is interested in creating content for the website and social media (writing, photography and making video content). We are looking for someone passionate about women artists who can quickly adapt while learning. Good communication, self-motivation and customer service skills are all essential when working with Hundred Heroines.
The internship is a six-month contract with one month’s probation. You will be mentored by our team and have access to various training opportunities. You will be based at the Hundred Heroines Museum & Gallery in the Eastgate Centre, Gloucester.
Full training will be provided. This role is for a minimum of 10 hrs/week, mainly at weekends, with potential for more hours. Hundred Heroines is a Living Wage employer and rates are subject to experience.
