Open Call to Female Photographers

By 3rd May 2019July 13th, 2019No Comments

We’ve got ourselves a pop-up space in Chelsea! For a limited time only, we will be using this space to show work, sell prints and bring the public together around the work of female photographers. It’s urban, edgy and gritty, but a perfect backdrop for some of the work we know and love.

Our summer theme is Representation on the Line: (Un)framing our Identities. The main exhibition will open on the 14th May and will grow and evolve throughout the summer, culminating in a weekend of photographic appreciation as part of the Kensington and Chelsea Art Weekend on 28-30 June 2019.

We want to use this opportunity to show a variety of work from female photographers. Hence this open call!

Does your work explore themes of identity and representation?Do you want to see it hanging in the Heroines Hub this summer? If that’s a yes, and then a yay, get in touch.

Send 6 images and up to 100 words explaining how your proposal relates to identity as well as any ideas you have for hanging to 100heroines@rps.org.

Submissions close on the 25th May and we’ll be accepting work/hanging from the 20th June.
