Curate Your Own Exhibition
Throughout weekend
Admission is free
From Christmas trees to used car showrooms, it seems that everything on display is described as “curated” these days. And so many think that curating an exhibition is an easy task. “But curation — real curation — is actually a serious field that requires academic study. Real-world curators are keepers of cultural heritage institutions like museums and libraries. The job requires a deep understanding of the arts and how art works in conjunction with physical spaces, with culture and with actual people.” (From: A Real Curator’s Guide to Curation – read full article here).
So we’re building a mini-gallery, providing a stack of pictures and inviting you to curate your own exhibition. Once you’re happy with your layout, we’ll photograph it and seek feedback on each entry from an expert curator – there might even be a prize!
