Weekend Activities in February

For the month of February, in support of the Knife Angels month in Gloucester, as part of its National Anti-Violence tour, and the Knife Rose at the Heroines Quarter, we’re running related art activities in our Creative Canvas space.

As part of Gloucester’s Purple for Hollie campaign, we are dedicating our Garden of Positivity to Hollie Gazzard, who was murdered by her ex-partner in her place of work. On the 17th and 18th February, all the craft supplies will be different shades of purple, in memory of Hollie.

Angels, Wings & Halos

Be inspired by angels, wings and halos. We provide all the materials and templates for you to get creative and show the world your acts of kindness.  You can take your creations away or leave them on display and collect them at the end of the month. The angels will fly above our Garden of Positivity.

Rocks & Roses

We’re creating a garden full of colour and positive thoughts.  Come along and contribute to the Garden of Positivity. For example :

  • Paint or draw a rose
  • Complete the rose colouring sheet
  • Painting a positive message on a pebble
  • Make flowers out of crepe paper

All materials will be provided and it’s completely free of charge!

How to Participate

Drop in to the Heroines Quarter on Saturdays and Sundays in February (any time between 10:30-3:30). All children must be accompanied by an adult.
