Our first Instagram take over of 2022 celebrates the work of Heroine Wendy McMurdo, starting from Feb 17, 2022
Wendy McMurdo’s work explores the now ubiquitous nature of technology, computers, and simulation in children’s lives, using digital techniques to edit her work in a way that reflects this. She has crafted a body of work which charts the assimilation of technology into young people’s lives, what this means for them, and how they view themselves.
With images from her 2000 Science Museum residency, documenting children interacting with the Who Am I? exhibition she wanted to look at how new technologies affected early learning.
The take-over leads up to a very exciting online discussion between Wendy and Mónica Alcázar Duarte. Together they’ll be explaining how they utilise science and technology within their practices.
Within the take-over Wendy will be sharing images from – head to our Instagram page to see her work.
