Fatemeh Behboudi

Fatemeh Behboudi (b.1985, Tehran, Iran) is a photojournalist and documentary photographer. Since 2007 she has worked on assignment for numerous Iranian news agencies including IRNA, Farsnews, Mehrnews, bornanews, Jam-e Jam, Iqna, PANA, ISCA News Agency and Donya-e- Eghtsa. Her images have been featured in TIME, New York Times and Bloomberg Businessweek as well as in the Photographic Museum of Humanity, Foto Evidence, Lenscratch, LensCulture, It’s Nice That, The Eye of Photography, Verve Photo and dofoto, among others. Fatemeh is a 2019 Aftermath Project Finalist for her series ‘War Is Still Alive’. Her series ‘Mothers of Patience’ has received much acclaim including first place in Pictures of the Year (POY) in 2014 and a 2015 World Press Photo honorable mention award. She received a degree in photography from the Art Center of the University of Tehran in 2007, was a participant in World Press Photo’s 2013 Joop Swart Master class and in DMJX Danish School of Media and Journalism’s 2020 international programme.
