A State of Flux

And a number of young people did go ahead – although no lemons were dumped in a Northern forest…
HH Ambassador, Rita Long, has been running workshops this summer for young people. Using the event scores from Elina Brotherus, Rita introduced participants to the Fluxus movement and taught them the necessary camera skills to realise the event scores; we’re thrilled with the results!
“I first became involved with the State of Flux project after volunteering for Hundred Heroines and becoming an Ambassador for them, when I was invited to curate this particular project. Working within the Nailsworth and surrounding areas with young people, who have an interest in photography, we came up with the idea of using Elina’s Event Scores, because they are playful, fun and open to all sorts of different interpretation. This exhibition shows a collection of photographs, that realise Elina’s scores, created by the workshop participants from ReThink Mental Illness, Hundred Heroines Summer School and members of the public.” (HH Ambassador, Rita Long)
