Design an Album Cover – Workshop
Part of the 2026 Art History Festival
Some of the most iconic record covers have been photographed by women – although they didn’t always get the credit they deserved. As part of the 2026 Art History Festival, and against the backdrop of our current exhibition Stardust: 100 Years of Stage, Screen and Celebrity, we’re inviting visitors to create their own album covers.
From Pop Art to punk, album covers show how art and popular culture continually borrow from, challenge and reshape one another. As can be seen in the exhibition, they are part of our visual history, capturing the art, ideas, identities and attitudes of their time.
Spend the day creating your own, experimenting with photography, collage, typography and whatever else you want to include.
Free workshop. All materials will be provided.
