Open Studio
Rita Long and Participants from our Youth Programme
As part of the SVA Open Studios 2026 programme, we have a display of work by Rita Long alongside responses from some of the young people she’s been working with this year.
In an Act of Remembrance, Rita’s images show the delicate remnants of plants gathered from her mother’s garden after her passing. Using fine art photography, she explores the quiet collapse and continued resonance of life. Our intern, Anaïs Clarke, and students from Rednock School, were invited to respond to the work using objects that had belonged to Rita’s mother.
