Tuesday 14th – Sunday 19th May

Opening Times: Tues – Fri: 08:30-16:00; Sat: 10:00-16:00 & Sun: 10:00-15:00

The Setting Gallery, Three Storeys, Old Bristol Road, Nailsworth, Gloucestershire, GL6 0BS

We have an unexpected opportunity to  to create a pop-up in The Setting Gallery at Three Storeys, and the timing is perfect since it will overlap with the opening days of  Nailsworth Festival.

We’re hosting Child’s Play by Danielle Tipton to launch our mentor programme, which involves pairing a local emerging talent with one of the elected Heroines.

“This programme is about identifying outstanding local talent and giving people the opportunity to work with internationally renowned artists.  This exhibition marks the start of the pilot and we’re very excited to see how Danielle’s journey unfolds over the next six months.” – Founder, Del Barrett

Over the next six months, Danielle will be working with Lisl Ponger to develop her professional practice through a photographic project. We hope that this pilot programme will create sustainable careers and resilience in young rural artists. As well as the mentoring from Lisl, Danielle will receive a number of benefits and resources enabling her to progress and exhibit beyond the county’s borders. The programme will equip her with new skills that she will be able to share at a later stage with the next generation of promising talent.  We want to connect this county internationally and make it a destination through fostering new connections between young rural artists and the international arts scene.

“I’m honoured to be a part of Hundred Heroines new mentorship scheme, and incredibly excited to develop my work alongside award-wining artist Lisl Ponger.” – Danielle Tipton
