Take part in our Six Word Story Instagram Contest
In honour of the launch of Whitney Otto’s Art for the Ladylike, we have teamed up with the publishers, Ohio State University Press to award three people with a copy of the book and a pack of our Quotecards to inspire you to get creative!
All you have to do is think of a six word story inspired by Whitney Otto’s ‘Art for the Ladylike’ and the career, creativity, personal life balance. Six word stories are perfect for those who can create tension or motive with such few words!
The Rules:
- You must post your six word story on the specific instagram post on Hundred Heroines’ page posted on May 13 2021.
- You must follow us @hundredheroines, @weotto8 and @ohiostatepress
- You must also like the post
Only when we can confirm all three steps will your entry be eligible (please don’t unfollow any accounts until after the winners are announced).
You may submit more than one six word story but please make each entry a separate comment on the post.
Please keep each story respectful and appropriate, any negative or indecent comments may be deleted.
Who can enter?
Anyone! We are accepting entries from any country.
When can I enter?
The contest begins as soon as the contest is announced on the Hundred Heroines instagram page May 13 and will close June 3 2021.
The three winners will be announced June 10 2021.
Who will judge?
Judging will be conducted by the author Whitney Otto, to ensure fairness all entries will be recorded without Instagram handles to ensure no favouritism.
If there are duplicates of entries (i.e. two people have submitted the same six word story) then the post dated the earliest/first will only be considered – so make sure you scroll through the other entries first!
