Work Experience Opportunities

Open to Sixth-Form and College Students

Ever wondered how exhibitions come to life? Join us for a unique museum work experience and gain an all-round understanding of what happens behind the scenes – from research and storytelling to curation and display.

You’ll discover how to create a narrative about a time, a place or a person from what might at first seem like a random pile of negatives, slides and artefacts — and learn the practical skills that bring those stories to life.

Working alongside our team, you’ll contribute directly to one of our museum displays, where the results of your investigation will be featured for the public to see.

If you’re curious, creative and ready to get hands-on with history, photography and storytelling, this is your chance to step into the world of museums and make your mark.

We provide refreshments and lunch and at the end of the experience, you’ll get a certificate – it’s a great way to boost your CV! And you get a free T-Shirt!

If you’re interested in joining the programme, email hello@hundredheroines.org (or ask a parent, carer or teacher to email).
