Free Photography Workshop with Rita Long: Based on a True Story

This workshop takes place at the Arkell Community Centre

Looking for fun and creative activities this half-term?

Play with storytelling and photographs. Join photographer Rita Long for a free, hands-on creative workshop, exploring the prompt: “Based on a True Story.” This unique workshop invites young people aged 12-16 of all skill levels to dive into the art of storytelling through photography, capturing personal and imaginative narratives inspired by real-life moments.  

Whether you’re an aspiring photographer, a curious beginner, or just someone who loves to express themselves visually, this workshop will provide a fun and supportive environment for all to explore their artistic side!

When and Where?

  • Saturday 26th October
  • 13:00 to 15:00
  • This Workshop will take place in the Arkell Community Centre, Nympsfield Road Nailsworth GL6 0BG

What to expect

  • An introduction to visual storytelling with Rita Long
  • Creative exercises to help you develop your own photographs
  • An inclusive and welcoming atmosphere for all experience levels
  • Refreshments provided
  • Canon cameras available for all participants to use
