Temporary Display of Collection & Project highlights
Held at Three Storeys, Nailsworth between April and July 2024
While we were getting ready to move into our permanent space at Nailsworth Mills, we had a selection of items on temporary display, representing highlights from different aspects of the collection and projects.
From the Latin subvertere meaning ‘to overthrow’, subversion is a process by which the values and principles of a system in place are contradicted or reversed in an attempt to disrupt the established social order. And this is exactly what these artists are doing … all the items in this display were selected to highlight how women challenge the norms of photography, the art world and society.
