London College of Communication Student Galleries

Rontgen & Lesi Chen

Hundred Heroines is thrilled to present two outstanding students from the London College of Communication, who are exhibiting their work in a virtual gallery. Congratulations to Rontgen and Lesi Chen for being selected for the galleries from the LCC Grad Show.

We wish all the students every success in their future careers!

Both of these virtual exhibitions explore nature and the world we inhabit. Lesi Chen explores the anthropocenic world, exploring avenues for fostering ecological consciousness. Similarly, Rontgen explores the pervasive force of nature and the relationship between urban development and nature.

Lesi Chen is an emerging photographer who graduated from the BA Photography program at the University of Arts London. Born in 2000 in Guangzhou, China, Chen began her journey capturing the lives of teenagers, intrigued by their fluctuating self-identities and rebellious spirit. Since entering university, her work has evolved to encompass diaristic photography, collaborations with fashion brands, and experimentation with alternative processes like cyanotypes and lumen prints. From capturing landscapes to pushing boundaries with alternative techniques and crafting still lifes of botanical wonders or straightforward fashion portraits, her work presents a rich tapestry of human experience.
