Bootcamp Part 2

Big thanks to everyone who joined the first part of Creative Bootcamp – we hope you enjoyed it!

We now move on to the second part and look forward to welcoming new Bootcampers, who want to learn more about the practical side of photography and participate in the final exhibition about women in rail (either as a photographer or producer).

We have a number of workshops and talks with Heroines lined up as well as more visits to see some fabulous exhibitions of work by women – all planned to help you develop your own photographic voice.

Thanks to the support of the GWR Community Fund, all materials, training and travel for field trips are free,

Note:  This is an opportunity only for women.

We also have a limited number of travel bursaries to cover the costs of attending these workshops. If you would like to know more, please email hello@hundredheroines.org.

Saturday 28th January – All day.  Field Trip to The New Bend at Hauser & Wirth
Sunday 29th January – Portrait Workshop with Emilie Sandy (14:00 -16:00)
Saturday 4th February – All day.  Field Trip to London to see Alternative History of Photography (The Photographers Gallery) and Soheila Sokhanvari (The Barbican)
Sunday 5th February – Telling Stories Through Objects (Practical Workshop)
Thursday 9th February – Afternoon/Evening. Field Trip to Bristol, photography exhibition at the RWA and talk by Trish Morrissey at the Martin Parr Foundation
Saturday 11th February – Portrait Workshop with Emilie Sandy (14:00 -16:00)
Saturday 18th/Sunday 19th February – Workshop with Laura El-Tantawy (Spaces are limited – first come, first served)
Sunday 26th February – Portrait Workshop with Emilie Sandy (14:00 -16:00)
Sunday 12th March – Portrait Workshop with Emilie Sandy (14:00 -16:00)

This term’s Bootcamp is super-flexible. You don’t need to attend every workshop and trip! Come along to three events/activities and take part in the final exhibition (either as photographer or producer) to gain a certificate and join the Bootcamp Alumna.
