We are creating the world’s first museum dedicated to women in photography and are looking for new trustees to help guide the charity through its next phase of development.
Hundred Heroines is the only UK charity dedicated to women in photography. The ‘Heroines’ challenge how we see the world, push artistic and social boundaries, and highlight human rights issues. Through innovative exhibitions and events, we showcase the invaluable contribution women make – and have made – to the visual arts and to society, while building a living archive to increase public appreciation of their pioneering work and transformational humanitarian impact.
No previous trustee experience is necessary as training will be provided – we seek trustees who share our enthusiasm for the charity’s work and commitment to its aims.
We recently opened our first physical space in Gloucester and want to expand our local representation. If you want to help us bring world-class art and exhibitions to the city, we want to hear from you.
Hundred Heroines is committed to encouraging equality, diversity and inclusion in the organisation. We encourage applications from a diverse range of candidates from all cultural or socio-economic backgrounds.
The trustees meet 4-6 times a year, but you may choose to sit on one of the committees which would require a further commitment.
If you would like an informal chat about the role, please contact Del via del@hundredheroines.org. To apply, please send your CV together with a short letter outlining what you feel you could contribute to the charity’s development.
