Field trips to the V&A in London
Saturday 13th January – Thursday 18th January – Friday 26th January
As part of research for our Great Train Tapestry we’ve arranged three trips to the V&A in London to look at the textiles and tapestries on display. We have some free train tickets (and lunch!) to offer to participants of the train tapestry. Why not join us, meet some new friends and learn all about the Great Train Tapestry and all of its stories around the rails, including 70 different images and explorations of different textile techniques!
If you have any questions or additional requirements please email harriet@hundredheroines.org. If you’re planning to attend, please use the Xoyondo poll below so we can keep track of bookings.
Technical stuff: Please book your own ticket, from whichever Gloucestershire station suits you to London, Paddington where the group will meet at 12PM. The only tickets we are able to refund are off-peak tickets with tube travel included. When you have booked, send the receipt with your bank details to harriet@hundredheroines.org and we will refund the price of the ticket with an extra £10 for food (please give receipts to one of the HH team on the day). Once we have finished our visit to V&A, you can do whatever you like with your day in London! HH staff will part with you after the V&A. If you decide to travel at peak times, you are responsible for that cost.
The Great Train Tapestry Project is made possible thanks to the generous support of GWR Community Fund and Canon.
