Jennie Ricketts is a photography editor, curator, consultant and mentor. She is a former Picture Editor of The Observer Magazine,where she worked for seventeen years. She launched the Jennie Ricketts Gallery in 2006. Originally based in Brighton, UK, she relocated to County Wicklow, Ireland in 2007.

Operating online from Co. Wicklow, the gallery represents international photographers, for curated shows in hired exhibition spaces. Over the last few years collaborations have included: ‘A Conversation with Karen Fuchs’, the US based photographer, for the Arts University Bournemouth; UK photographer Dr. Lee Karen Stow for the exhibition ‘Poppies: Women and War’, 2014 for Murray Edwards College, Cambridge, as part of their Women and War symposium, that went on to Liverpool Museum and the UN headquarters, New York in 2016; ‘Landscape Rising’, a group show with Irish photographers Joby Hickey, Kim Haughton, Mary Furlong and Karl Burke, for the Dublin gallery Solomonfineart.ie, 2016 in conjunction with the PhotoIreland Festival that year; ‘El Salvador: Between Revolution and War’, 2016 by UK photographer Mike Goldwater at the National Media Museum, Bradford as part of the Adam Curle Peace Symposium for the University of Bradford.

Jennie is currently a member of the Advisory Board for PhotoIreland.org, and most recently alongside her husband is renovating a listed church and school house for use as event venues.
